We went up 10 times, not 9! That was a pretty repetitive chore, though. Mount Tamalpais is a great climb, even on the main road. It's not very steep, but it's steep enough to get you up 2,500 feet in a couple of hours or less. I wonder if on the dirt trails there are some more "efficient" upward grades. I ride a Surly Crosscheck, which can handle any terrain, but I consider myself a roadie, so I don't know much about the trails and fire roads. Ride on...
