I traveled in Belize 10 years ago, and I drank cashew wine many times - cashew wine made in shacks and corked with plugs of wood, and commercially produced cashew wine bought in markets. I don&#039;t know that I ever encountered an exceptionally bad one. It&#039;s true: The flavor is strange and a bit pungent - but that&#039;s the flavor of travel and discovery.</description>

		<description>Belize Cashew Wine is not exported and perhaps rightly so. The anecdotal account of the wine getting you drunk twice derives I think from the terrible hangover it induces. 

No one I know having experienced a cashew wine hangover tries it twice. It is really that bad. A half glass over cracked ice as an appetizer is enough. 

This refers to the &quot;real&quot; cashew wine that is home made and popular in rural areas of the Belize River Valley where cashew grows wild. Commercially produced versions are not the same...</description>
