Your link "go with a guide" in the Israel section brings you to Esther Cohen's "My Israel Wine Tours" website. Esther Cohen has no formal education in either wine nor guiding and after living in Israel for a few years has returned to her native Boston.

If you are interested in wine tours of Israel, feel free to contact me. I am a licensed guide and have taken a number of courses in wine, have excellent connections among Israel's wineries and wine-makers.

I also have recently started a blog on Israeli wines at israeladventure.tumblr.com and tweet as @IsraelWineGuide.

I was once given a bottle of wine from Tunisia by a co-worker. He raved and ranted about how great it would be. He told me to store it for another 5 years before I drank it... Not thinking much about it, the years past, I needed a wine to cook with and for kicks, decided to taste it. It was incredibly smooth and deep with flavor. We actually ended up drinking that wine with that meal!!

So it pays to keep an open mind!
