I used one of these filters in Mexico for several months. They are awesome -- I have traveled to a lot of third world countries, and I usually end up getting a stomach illness even though I'm careful. Using these filters, I was completely healthy. I worked with an organization who built these and distributed them to the local people, and they make such a huge difference. Thank you, Rod and Ingrid!

They certainly are very inspirational. This is the way we need to be looking at helping those in need. Sure the concept of "giving" for charity is great in some circumstances but it's really about enabling people to become self sufficient.

I found Tom Mycoskie's book "Start Something That Matters" extremely inspirational. It led a friend and I to start our own water filter company. We have a similar mindset to Rod and Ingrid, we use the customers purchase to help provide pure water systems to remote cambodian schools. It really is the only way forward!

Thanks for the great article.
