I am helping build a carousel in Albany Oregon and we are lucky enough to be able to have an original Denzel mechanizium for our carousel. We are creating a menagerie instead of the all horse type. This has been a wonderful experience, I am one of the painters. I really enjoyed the photos from Carousel Time I wish there were more. We do have several pieces of Denzels animals and we will be having the Bill Denzel the grandson carve an animal for us at the carousel building. When it's time and we have the money our building will be torn down and the actual Albany Brass Ring will be built there. So thank you for the article, I love seeing how they were painted back in 1922.
