I am 86 years old, so of course my toys were dolls and everything that went with them. One was named Miriam, after my closest girlfriend. I still have a complete set of small dishes, white with gold band that my father gave me. At about 8 years old, my mother introduced me to the sewing machine, where I have been since! It's my big-girl toy. I do remember a wooden rocking duck or goose I used to sit in and rock like mad. And my little rocking chair I got for Christmas when I was about 2 or 3 years old is right on front of me now. Don't know why, but as a child I always wanted an erector set! Those were boys' toys!! Maybe that's why I like to watch "How It's Made" and other like shows now on TV.
