In Alabama, as far as I know, we’ve always had stinkbugs.
Different species I guess. These really stink.

Please don’t try to save them! They aren’t innocuous:
* They damage fruit and vegetables.
* They can leave a dark brown stain on clothing and furnishings.
* I understand from friends that, in large enough numbers, they can really smell up a room!

At this point, we might as well just stop the whole “be nice” to these nasty things. Whenever you release them outside, they’re just going to try to come back inside. Get them outside and squish ‘em before it’s too late!!

Our family really enjoyed reading this article…in fact a stink bug was watching us the whole time. Are they really that terrible? They don’t bite, they’re not trying to lay eggs, they just want a little warmth, right? We have been busy gathering our visitors in Tupperware containers and Kleenexes for release in the great outdoors, and it just doesn’t feel like a big deal. Those parasitic wasps sound a WHOLE lot worse if you ask us!
