(Not to fret, there ARE baseball- and softball-sized diamonds elsewhere in the gem halls.) So since I went in thinking “It’s small” and not “It’s big”, the diamond actually seemed a little bigger than I remembered! (Maybe that had to do with the stylish new setting.) [...]

Hi Barbara,

Thanks for asking. No, the Smithsonian Stores do not plan to offer a reproduction of the Hope Diamond, as it appears in its new setting. Glad you're enjoying your repro of the Hope in its old setting.

I bought a copy of the Hope Diamond in its heavy circle frame of 16 stones. The new setting is so much more attractive. Is a copy availble in the new setting from the Musuem Gift Shop?
