I returned home yesterday from my first trip to D.C. I always regretted missing the trip when the rest of my friends went in the 7th grade. (I'm 43 now.) Where I once had regret, I now have a sense of deep gratitude. If I had gone to D.C. years ago, with the rest of my class, I don’t know that I would have returned. Instead, I found myself at the Renwick a few days ago. And I was completely transfixed with Judith’s work. I’m a fellow lover of the singular, unique beauty that can only be captured in the dark places. Walking around the Renwick, looking at what Judith has created, moved me and inspired me. I feel so grateful for having been able to see what she has created. It is poetic glass. It is a vision of the illuminated world I sometimes feel but, until now, had never really seen. Thank you, Judith.
