What an incredible way to express ones self. Imagery has always been a powerful way to portray a story. I'm thankful we have artists that can "paint a picture" to tell their stories.

In my case, I wrote about it. Israel and how it was established was so inspiring to me, I wrote a gripping novel titled Rebirth, about the rebirth of Israel in 1948. (www.rebirthofisrael.com)

People from all over the world have commented about it and I hope the readers of this will be equally inspired to express their views in their own way.

Krinitz's work is absolutely amazing. At first glance, this style is slightly whimsical, with colors that seem happy. However, once you really look at the image depicted, you can tell that incredible despair and hardship come out of the happy colors. I want to get to Ripley Center before Jan 29 so I can check it out myself!
Do you know of any artists from Israel whose ancestors were Jews in Germany (or Poland, etc) during the Holocaust? I'm interested in learning some individual stories of Jews that moved to Israel after the genocide. I just read a book called "Rebirth" by David Longueay (http://rebirthofisrael.com) that got me really interested in the subject.
