I fell in love with the Brown family, extended family, the fans and the music when was first introduced to DC Go Go about five years ago when visiting my own family downtown DC - a rain gushing, outdoor concert many entertainers would have skipped. Had the privilege of being included in back of stage area - a night I shall never ever forget. Thanks Tom G, my daughter Tee and Js !!!!!

As a Smithsonian member I surely hope you do him proud and give him the prominence he deserves more than triple fold when the 2015 museum opens.

This is a great article--and it truly illustrates the significant role Mr. Brown played in shaping the artistic culture of Washington, D.C. His legacy is deeply woven into the fabric that makes this city and its history so unique and great! Go in peace, Chuck Brown...you are deeply missed!
