Why did Julian Fellowes call her Levinson? Since she’s Jewish (or did Fellowes think it was one of those funny American names like “Homer”?), then so are all the Crawley girls. Oh, the shame! Then there’s the current Lord Carnarvon, whose great-grandmother (according to the lead-up to Episode 3) was a Rothschild. But since he’s in the male line he’s in no danger. Whew!

I can’t wait for the fireworks to begin. I’ll be turning off my phone and anxiously awaiting the beginning of the season. Shirley is gorgeous and amazingly bright and talented. What a wonderful choice. And, yes, Cleve, there SHOULD be a part for Dame Judi Dench!
