		<description>If you do have to carve your pumpkin too many days before Halloween, you can soak in water for a few hours or over night to hydrate it.  I found this to be successful.</description>

		<description>I would have never thought to use  Vaseline or vegetable oil to preserve the pumpkin once it is cut.  These were well received tips on keeping the pumpkins around a little bit longer.</description>
