Dinosaur Sighting: a Superior Dinosaur

A metal dinosaur sculpture near Duluth, MN. From reader Mark Ryan.
Of all the places I would expect to find a dinosaur sculpture, the north shore of Lake Superior just outside of Duluth, Minnesota would be one of the last on the list. As shown by this photo sent in by reader Mark Ryan, though, there are definitely dinosaurs there. Among the group of stylized metal skeletons is a Stegosaurus, Allosaurus, and Tyrannosaurus (pictured here), and while I am not used to seeing dinosaurs in a snowy setting they still look pretty neat!

Interestingly, this is only a mile or two as the crow flies from the Sinclair station on the Highway 61 expressway, which has the classic fiberglass green brontosaurus (apatasaurus?). Some classic predator and prey action here!
