Back in the Eighties, anyone stuck with HBO was subjected to a whole slew of really horrible space opera movies that used, and reused, and re-reused, the effects footage from Corman&#039;s &quot;Battle Beyond the Stars&quot; (1980). My younger brothers and I used to play a game when one particularly bad example, &quot;Space Raiders&quot; (1982), would come on, where we&#039;d keep tabs of how many times the same ship explosion was re-used for different dogfights. Yes, we were REALLY bored back then.</description>
