Dinosaur Sighting: Wrinkles

A very wrinkly dinosaur outside California's Jurupa Mountains Discovery Center. Photo by Troy Britain.

A few weeks ago I posted as list of bad roadside dinosaurs submitted by readers. The photos continue to trickle in. Today’s entry, sent to us by Troy Britain, is a strange wrinklesaurus which stands outside the Jurupa Mountains Discovery Center in Jurupa, California. If you put the dinosaur through the wash, I’m sure those wrinkles will come right out.

Have you seen a dinosaur or other prehistoric creature in an unusual place? Please send a photo to dinosaursightings@gmail.com.

Aww, maybe “Wrinkles” just lost a good thousand pounds at Weight Watchers and hasn’t gotten a tummy tuck! LOL – love the photo.

My spouse and I have visited Jurupa Mountain Cultural Center on a number of occasions. The dinosaur shown above is just one of several that are found on the property, along with at least one mastadon that overlooks the site, and for plant enthusiasts, there are a variety of different aloes, cacti and even an iris garden.

If you are in the Southern California area, I recommend a visit, but you will need to contact the center first to set an appointment.

  3. Eureka! An obvious direct lineage to the Shar-Pei breed of dogs… coincidentally from China also! Add it up (just don’t use long division like me): cousins of Tyrannosaurs running around in the same neck of the woods and now this? How can anyone possibly refute this evidence?
Birds?!? HA!! I don’t think so. Dinosaur descendants are obviously cute, wrinkly puppies.

Wow! I don’t know how old Troy Britain is, but he should be given a life time achievement award right now for this photo. This sculpture is truly mind bendingly amazing. If there is a worse dinosaur sculpture I wouldn’t want to see it because I would have to put my eyes out. Congratulations Troy!!

  5. Dan Chure says:

Anyone know how much was paid for this sculpture?

  6. Jeff Sherry says:

LOL, I was thinking Arnold-Rex, the steroid T-Rex.
