Actually, I have two good novels currently offerend and selling on Amazon,”Nodal Convergence” and “Hunter’s Moon”. Both novels have a definite adult approach as well as a scientifically accurate approach to describing dinosaurs in the late cretaceous.

I can guarantee you, if a Turok movie is ever made it’ll be a terrible example of the ‘video game turned movie’ genre.

Dino Crisis doesn’t have the odds in it’s favor either. It could be an excellent top grade movie, but more likely it’d turn out like the latest ‘Resident Evil’ movies where impossible slow motion sequences and ‘gunplay’ are the order of the day.

Hollywood has a way of taking good things then ruthlessly ruining them after all.

I’d like to see a dinosaur movie along the lines of Shawn of the Dead. One that makes fun of dinosaur movies, whilst being a pretty damn good dinosaur movie itself.

I’ve been thinking that there needs to be a really gritty dinosaur movie for a long time now too. Maybe a Dino Crisis movie is more likely, given that the Resident Evil series is doing well. Something that actually makes the dinosaurs seem *scary*, like a large exotic predator should be.

That brings back memories. The card that always stuck out in my mind was the Triceratops crashing a wedding, with the bride and groom each impaled on a horn and the father of the bride getting crushed underfoot. Then there were more than a few cards of kids getting eaten — sometimes at school! That was scandalous stuff as a kid.

Maybe that upcoming “dinosaurs attack L.A.” movie will scratch the same itch? However, I’m sure the producers will aim for a safe PG-13 rating.

I LOVE Mars Attacks! It’s so wonderfully mean-spirited. That’s the last Tim Burton film I’ve enjoyed.
