It'd take more than a dozen pints to give a woman her daialy dose of iron. By my calculations, it'd be 53 pints!

I used to drink Guiness, mainly because it would last longer than other beers (sipping, not gulping) when you are trying to limit your alcohol intake or money outtake.
When I found out they used fish bladders, I no longer bought or consumed any Guiness products & never will again... even though as a vegan, I don't even know if yeast is considered Vegan ! I know now why I used to have severe burp/sudsing from wheat beer, probably because I am allergic to gluten !!!

Thanks for the post! I'm doing "The Guinness Diet" today(for fun) which means I drink a can of Guinness for every meal. I've just had my second and must say it's the most enjoyable diet I've ever been on.
Interesting that Guinness contains a fish product as I used to be vegan and probably had a Guinness at that time, even though I did check everything I consumed I may have been purposely ignorant for alcoholic beverages.
Guinness is also the only drink my dog will show interest in. She had about 10ml 30 mins ago and has been staring lovingly at me ever since.
Love the cake idea! Will def try it soon.
Cheers!
