Luckily DC can now come get their own homemade pops with local ingredients from the Pleasant Pops guys - they sell on Saturdays from 9am-1pm at the Mt. Pleasant Farmers Market (and cater too!).

New flavor they have for this week is Watermelon and Black Pepper (haven't tried it yet), and I can vouch for the Peaches and Ginger, Cucumber Chili and Strawberries and Cream ones that will be around this week too.

www.pleasantpops.com or @pleasantpops on twitter if you want to check them out.

Just got done making icicle pops with my FoodSaver. If you use a fruit puree, like you mentioned, you don't even need sugar - and you get all the health benefit of eating a fruit (unlike some juices that claim you do.)
