I&#039;m a big Top Chef fan and Washingtonian...I really wished they would have backed off some of the lazy politics and government themes (e.g., &quot;Hail to the Chef!&quot;) and explored more of what DC has to offer beyond the feds.  I appreciate your thoughtfulness about the hidden culinary treasures that can be discovered in our fair city.

However, I have one small disagreement--if you&#039;re willing to send the cheftestants to Virginia for Asian groceries your farmer&#039;s market suggestion should have been the one in Takoma Park (Maryland).  It&#039;s open all year, features producer-sellers only, food comes from within a 150 mile radius, and it&#039;s got the best variety and atmosphere of any market in the metro area.

Now, I&#039;ll pack my knives and go...</description>
