You can see the roots of the corruption of absolute power in this story that drives our politics today. Everyone wants to be on the winning team but at what cost? Principal and reason have given way to the lust for power and nothing done on the path to wining is out of bounds. The press has acquiesced its roll and the public seems completely uninterested in the facts. Our democracy is crumbling before our eyes and yet there is barely a whimper. Sad.

Calling Cheney and Rumsfeld war criminals and that they harmed the country more than any other group is just partisan ignorance. There are many others who don’t have that view.

I was a youngmother of four boys and voted for Gerald Ford and never understood why he lost. Now I know. I thew in with the “gang” who has harmed this country more than any other group in modern times.
