		<description>Considering the absolutely disastrous condition of the national power grid, it seems that implementing solar roadways would be a very direct and very efficient means of bringing up a &#039;smart grid&#039; for power distribution.

Not to mention rural broadband and general communications infrastructure.</description>

		<description>If these solar highways would have sensors for detecting road conditions and other hazards, such as deer, then these would be very useful in helping make the previously discussed robotic cars much more viable for real-world use. Connecting the two systems would be very helpful. In the meantime, I know having a warning of conditions would be great, even for just the everyday driver.</description>
