I was on the son of the owners. I operated the robots by remote control. After the restaurant closed, eventually i sold them to a move prop company. But, haven’t seen them in movies.

That photo brings back memories! I grew up in Pasadena and got to go here a few times. The robots would tell riddles but I could never understand what they were saying. I was crushed when they went out of business.

After reading this, I’m very curious as to what happened to the robots? Are they still in working order, in some private collection? Scrapped? Liquidated when the restaurant went under? I know its a fluff piece about some robots in a takeout joint, but some more into the fates of these automatons would be nice.
