Yes Chris, I agree with you. If there's an encyclopedia of office politics at least one volume must be dedicated to Uniblab, the ultimate corporate "yes man".

When this episode aired in 1962 I was 5 years old. Uniblab was waay cooler than any of the older Hanna-Barbera robots that appeared in series like "The Ruff & Reddy Show" and "The Huckleberry Hound Show". With his three "eyes", antenna array and Saturn-shaped head; Uniblab cuts quite an impressive figure, lol.

How was I to know what a valuable lesson this episode of the Jetsons was teaching, there's a Uniblab lurking behind every desk and file cabinet in the typical office - so be on your guard . . . amigo!

After all these years I'm still taken by Uniblab's personality. As robots go, animated of live action, he's still quite a character. Do you suppose The Pentagon has Uniblab variants running around its corridors? It would explain a lot!

"Education in the 21st century is apparently filled with miniature books and rocketship field trips to distant countries."

I recall one episode where she carries a surfboard stating she was going surfing in Acapolco or something once. Perhaps customs became rediculously laxed by then. It's just like the time every 19 year old I knew was up in Canada getting hammered because they could do so! :-)

"as children of the 1960s and ’70s learn that they may battle their own Uniblab at some point in the future."

I do that everyday!
