Bring it on. As for the Slaughter of the Buzzcopters, well, it seems that we'll have self-driving cars and yes, self-driving flying machines before we get wide-spread use of personal flying machines. So I'm not worried about that. If somebody had told Wylie that in the 2000s nine-year-olds would be reading 300 page novels about a boy wizard, how long would he spend laughing before telling us that that just wasn't possible? I hunted pheasant, quail & duck all the time as a kid, now I have to drive so far out and still can't find property that's not private..It is just a memory. With 3D TV and the Wii among other items his predictions on home entertainment were just a little premature. We're getting there. Pills could replace alcohol and other drugs but I think we like the actual act of drinking too much for it to happen. Reading isn't going away but it's definitely changing. I don't think anyone back then could have foreseen the internet and home computing and even if they did, certainly not the extent that it dominates our media and lives in general.
