What would you rather want: Fighting to survive in a post-apocalyptic wasteland, or being pulverized instantly by a meteor impact? Come on, people. Remember Y2K? The point of the article clearly stated that the Mayans never said the world will end on that date. That's just when their calendars ended. Therefore, they are neither wrong nor right. They never made any prediction of the sort. That's just the way the people of the 21st century are interpreting it. I know for an absolute fact that, yes, this world IS going to end one day. That's just common sense. Nothing lasts forever. But to honestly believe that something like this can be predicted. Come on people? You should realize that the world we live in is extremely complex and full of possibilities. For every predicition there is a defense as to why it's not true. It's just too wishy-washy to be completely sure. Instead of spending your whole life trying to figure out when your life will end, why don't you just live life to the fullest, not think about that crap, and we'll cross that bridge when we come to it. It's not like there's anything we can DO if these bunk predictions are true, so get a life. NOBODY KNOWS AND WE'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO KNOW! Veronica, I think you missed the point.
