		<description>I think is a rather common phenomenon that people tend to rate themselves above average and I do not believe that it is gender specific. The classic example study that I am aware is that of self-rating of driving skills in which virtually all drivers rate themselves as average or above-average ability. See Accid Anal Prev. 1998 May;30(3):331-6. Confidence in, and self-rating of, driving ability among older drivers.
