Oh for goodness sake go vegan and have done with it....clinging to meat-eating by shifting to mealworms is not going to solve anything - especially when the article makes it plain that egg-and-dairy-eating are still going to go on in this mealworm-devouring world. This makes no sense whatsoever: cows need to have calves to give milk, even dairy cows produce poop in gigantic quantities and are turned themselves into meat in a few years. Similar problems obtain with eggs. And I haven't even started on the ethics of it all yet...

When I lived in Malawi, I ate flying ants as a snack often. They taste exactly like salted, unshelled sunflower seeds.

We can grow meat in a petri dish, I would much prefer that.

And if I were an investor, same answer.

I eat insects all the time. Pretty much every day in fact.

They do require some processing, of course, like many foods do.

I prefer to process mine through a hen.

"Pound for pound, mealworm protein (green) produces much lower amounts of greenhouse gas emissions than both the high (red) and low (blue) estimates for conventional protein sources."

Is this from The Onion?

What's next, Soylent Green?
