In central Florida I have mango trees which are still producing mangoes. This is the first time I haven't had to cut the trees down to their roots because of frost.

Not only my orange trees here in central Florida are flowering several times in the same year, but my 3 Siberian Huskies dogs are shading 3 or 4 times a year back and from their winter coats.

In about October 1996 I was living in a house in the London district of Battersea. One day I noticed that a lilac bush in the garden had a second blossom of stumpy little flowers. Unfortunately it did not flower at all in the following summer. So early flowering isn't necessarily a blessing.

In Wilmington, NC, I have worn a jacket over my shirt only three times since October, 2012. Dwarf Camellias set out three months ago bloom merrily. The same for roses which bloomed until January 2013.
