As a add-on to the scientific study -- my daughter used to do birthday puppet shows for 3 - 5 year olds. The story involved a princess, prince, and an ogre. She was amazed at a response which happened regularly. The princess would hide and both the prince and ogre would come looking for her. Whenever the prince was looking for the princess, the "audience" was quiet. When the ogre came, the kids would scream and point to tell him where she was hiding. Hmmmmmmm.

Birds of a feather.
We increase our chance of survival, and likelyhood of passing on our genes, if we stay with groups that have the same interests that we do. To be surprised that this has been hardwired into our brains from birth is ridiculous. It is a trait that can be fond in every society and group in history. It is clearly a survival instinct developed during the early days of mankinds evolution and passed on to all the survivors of our earliest ancestors.

How can you tell if a baby is watching something because it likes it, or because it wants to keep an eye on it as it mistrusts it?

Appears that humans have a problem with the concept of "human nature". We seem unwilling to accept that we are part of the animal world, first and foremost. As soon as we can all be programmed to think alike, problem will be solved. Media, along with our educational system in all its forms,is making significant inroads in this effort. Wonderful.

All results from this testing can be explained by innate self-preservation and not bigotry or any other emotional response. The babies will always lean towards what they consider the safest environment. Wouldn't you? Well, after being hammered by their environment grown babies might not.

Oh dear, the 'dark side' of babies! Liberalism seems to want to view everything through the prism of wretched multiculturalism. Perhaps needless to say this article is quite pathetic.
