This gigantic arctic meltdown will also allow and encourage the proliferation of oil drilling platforms, thereby enhancing the unhabitability of our planet, all in the name of short term profits.

It is a good thing that corporations have been declared to be persons. Maybe they will disappear with all the killed people.

Scientists are extremely cautious to say "that in 2040 the North Pole is ice free". So they say "it might be" . Should someone say "you are an idiot" you would presumably prefer to be judged as told "You might be an idiot" by a certain time.
The Climate Crisis, some people wish away, should be considered as producing ecologically frail regions on some parts of the globe - an oil spill in the arctic seems not to have been considered in the "bill" or is so expensive and dangerous to the environment, that no honest research results are being thought to be published without an outcry of some environmentalists !
With best wishes for the future and greetings from Germany - Your bookworm Karl-Heinz

Earth has seen huge climate changes many times in the past, and will certainly see the same in future. We seem to be in the early stages of one such now, possibly exacerbated by human activity due to growing overpopulation. Live with it!

@mememine69 : If observing the predictions of the IPCC reports coming true, in fact sooner than predicted, does not convince you of climate change then I suspect nothing will. You say you want a report to declare "this will definitely happen" while science is daily reporting "this has already happened".

Former Climate Change Believers Are Better Planet Lovers
We challenge anyone to find us one single IPCC report of crisis that isn't full of "maybes". Yes it’s been 27 years of “maybe” being a crisis, not “will” be a real crisis. So according to science comet hits are eventual and climate change crisis is only possible as they have never said it "WILL" actually be a real crisis, only might be and could be and...............And save the little tiny climate crisis for Harry Potter movies.
This Reefer Madness makes all end of the world freaks in the history books.
