Here’s What Space Shuttle Endeavour Looked at While You Looked at Space Shuttle Endeavour

Early Friday morning, the space shuttle Endeavour piggybacked on a 747 on its way to its post-retirement home at the California Science Center in Los Angeles.

Starting with takeoff the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, the shuttle/jet pair had a brief stop-over at Edward’s Air Force Base before taking off again on a tour around California, with onlookers snapping up oodles of great photos as it passed by landmarks such as the Golden Gate Bridge.

But, while swarms of people were busy snapping pictures of Endeavour’s overhead pass, one of the escort jets was busy filming, too, creating the video you see above.

Endeavour’s trip isn’t finished yet. Right now, it’s being prepared for a cross-town move from the airport to the science center, “the first, last and only time a space shuttle will travel through urban, public city streets,” the center says.
