I used to attend classes almost regularly, but as far as I can remember they were mostly useless for me. But I was more intelligent than most of my classmates, and I could understand concepts easily from the course books myself. Besides both of my parents were also teachers, so If I had any problem, they were there to guide me. Still I cannot say that the classes had no advantage for me. Thinking about it now I feel they were of more use for me in the humanities rather than in sciences. I feel that for average students, who also don't have anyone to guide them at home, the lectures at the schools or colleges are of great value.
