This Camera Trap Snared a Bonanza of Indonesian Wildlife
The Leuser ecosystem covers a broad patch of northern Sumatra, Indonesia, and is home to a wide variety of rare and endangered species, such as the Sumatran tiger and orangutan. As part of a project to showcase this extensive and often unique life, camera traps were installed around the region.
The above video, says Wired, was put together from four months of accumulated footage, and catches an absolutely astonishing range of creatures, everything from a ground squirrel up to a towering elephant.
So far, 25 different videos have been uploaded to the project’s YouTube site, including this one which just so happens to showcase a very dirty pig.
