It is a state based exam – in Victoria, the state of which Melbourne is the largest city and capital. It has a conservative, so called, “Liberal – National” government which has been slashing funding of education. I suppose you “gets what you pays for”…

This is what comes from relying on computer programs and not human editors who can employ a little common sense. I notice Smithsonian’s not relying on either the human eye or Spell Check when it comes to spelling; e.g., in the 2nd paragraph, the word “instutute” instead of “institute and, in the last paragraph, “Braodwell” instead of the “Broadwell”. Sloppy work, people.

Don’t cast the first stone. Re last paragraph, that’s Broadwell, not Braodwell. How can you forget the correct spelling, really! BTW, was that altered title “All The Way In?” If not, I want credit for the quip!

These exams are not taken by students “around the country”. They’re state-based assessment for senior students exiting high school. Furthermore, exam don’t “teach” anything.
