When I was a boy in Indianapolis in the 1940s, we had a cat that was very dear to our next-door neighbors. When they decided to move, they asked if they could take the cat with them. We had other pets, so agreed. They moved 15 miles away. Two weeks later, the cat was back, with bloody paws.
