The Test Ban Treaty Organization detected a "release of energy" but are we really certain it was as a result of a nuclear detonation? I'm of the understanding that all three tests have been somewhat unclear as to whether they were in fact really nuclear detonations.

North Korea is literally desperate to keep the West's attention focused on themselves. There is seemingly nothing they won't do to achieve that end.

North Korea is a dictatorship that wants distracts its people from the real problems occurring within their own country. A way to achieve such result is to mobilize public opinion against an enemy, but you need to create an enemy when you don’t have any. It may explain the aggressiveness of North Korea and it makes their nuclear program a dangerous threat.
