So my grandfather worked for LBJ, and although I find the anecdotes I share about the profanity of correspondence under that administration never seem to make much of a splash because he&#039;s so known for those habits, I did want to make note that he had a telephone in the loo (not uncommon in those days- that&#039;s how my grandparents and parents, and, in middle school, I rolled.) He made calls to my grandfather from the throne, in more ways than one (a pun! So early in the morning?!)

Also of note, he was actually totally obsessed with what the press had to say about him. Like fling himself on the desk with a crumpled paper in one hand hollering obsessed. That&#039;s an exaggeration. Two sides of a public persona coin. 

I will continue to muse on my family through your blog. Thanks for making space for my verbal family album? Unintended consequences! Emergent properties! the Interwebs.</description>
