I'm glad you got to visit Tibet. Many people b/c of their political views are banned from Tibet. Foreign journalists and human rights investigators are also banned from Tibet. You probably were not allowed to visit Ngaba & Kandze Tibetan regions (Sichuan Province) because since 2009 there have been over 30 self-immolations by Tibetans protesting China's human rights abuses. These large areas are closed to foreigners and thousands of Peoples Armed Police patrol the streets in riot gear & automatic rifles. Several Tibetans have been shot & killed by Chinese police for protesting. We Tibetans want freedom from Chinese colonialism and the CCP's attacks against our religion & culture.
