Even though your article "...select ranging across the lower 48, you did put #14, Siloam Springs AK in Alaska! Ak being the official abbreviation for Alaska, of course.... Karen

Just a slight contradiction -in the print version of this article...the abbreviation for the state of Arkansas is AR, not AK, which is Alaska's.

I attended Cornwall Academy in Grteat Barrington, MA. I greaduated in 1961. Great town. Was back in many years latter and talked to the head master who was still alive at that time. Have to get my year book to determine his name. Morman maybe. Heard it is now a housing development.

I enjoy seeing my photographs on internet blogs and the like, it is good to see that others appriciate the images that I have been so fortunate enough to experience and capture. Gig Harbor Washington is a beautiful small town with that picture-perfect small harbor and it's quaint waterfront boulevard of gift shops, art galleries, and eateries. Truely a lovely place along the Puget Sound. Unfortunately the image (my photo) of the harbor is not that of Gig Harbor, Washington but of 'Friday Harbor', Washington on San Juan Island. Friday Harbor "IS" one of those "Best Small Towns in America" that could be included on your list. It should be on everyone's 'must see' bucket list of small towns. Arrive only by small aircraft, boat or ferry, somewhat caught in a time bubble, and a gated community of sorts because of its whereabouts and location. Please feel free to enjoy my other images on Flickr.com, I do have images of Gig Harbor WA on there as well.
