The Littlest Dinosaur Expert
![]()
Get this kid a museum job. Stella, a four-year-old dinosaur expert, correctly points out that a so-called Triceratops toy is, in fact, a Styracosaurus. She even hits three of the major differences in skull anatomy—Triceratops had a shorter nasal horn, longer brow horns and smaller, triangular bones around the border of the frill. This has to be the most adorable dinosaur correction I have ever seen. I would love to see Stella give a talk at next year’s Society of Vertebrate Paleontology meeting.

I’m saving this for the next time one of my pitches gets that dreadful comment that: it’s only a kid’s show.

“Get this kid a museum job.”- That’s what people say about me. If only it were that easy. Well, if i ever start my own museum, i’ll hist this little girl up. She’ll be excellent for communicating science to the younger crowds.
“Can you hold this for a second? I’m just going to check out the others.”
Dinosaur toy companies everywhere: fear this child.
The Dinosaur Toy Blog will have to start adding video reviews! She’s awesome!
The world would be a better place if every toy manufacturer in the world had a Stella on staff.
